'' 2003 ''

OIL PASTEL ON A2 PAPER

ABOUT THIS WORK :

This piece is based on a photograph of my little brother when he was little. while working on this piece I wanted to add an abstract feel into it such as the shapes on the face and arms ( the different colours on each shape symbolises different skin tones).


The theme I am exploring is identity and family because I like expressing my self through collecting images of family members, close friends due to the fact both have an important value in my life.

I titled this piece '' 2003'' as I think it was the year when the photo was taken.
