ARTISTS RESEARCH FOR THEME OF IDENTITY AND FAMILY(Portraiture)
Madeline Hutchinson
Madeline Hutchinson is an Australian painter, who's work captures a glimpse of contemporary, urban and everyday life.
Most of her painting has a storytelling approach and responds to the feelings of the person depicted in the work.
through her work, Hutchinson shows her interest in the human psyche, she clearly shows their emotions, their beliefs, addictions, insecurities, and internal search for something greater.
After she graduated from the National Art School with a Bachelor in Fine Art. she spent several years residing in London, which opened to new ways of expressing herself both personally and through her work.
Here are my favourites works from Madeline Hutchinson, I was intrigued by the way she overlayed her paint, different tones and colours, all working well with each other. Her way of working with paints is what I aspire to be in the future.

'' Pass the chips '' oil on canvas, 90cm x 90 cm, this work depicts a man with headphones on looking down on his phone, busy scrolling.
'' When the beautiful awake '' oil on canvas 76cm x 66 cm. this work depicts a man putting on his contacts while looking in the mirror.
